How come flowers aren’t usually green?

I think it takes something new to understand something old. I don’t know if it works the same for science, but, why aren’t flowers usually green when all plants are very green? Usually they’re pale yellow or white or something other than green. I guess we’ll never know. It’s sad, really. The true fact of the matter is that I could strain my mind for hours and never get an answer to that simple question. Simple questions.
